  1. Running the divecenter Deep Blue on the east coast of Fuerteventura, at Caleta de Fuste, we have angelsharks between november and march every year between Nuevo Horizonte and Las Salinas. Here they are so common that we didn’t consider them as something special so far. Good to know about this project, we’ll post some pictures from time to time if wanted.

  2. Whilst on holiday we saw an angel shark on 12th and 13th February 2015 at Playa Blanca, Lanzarote. We took photos of one. It was probably about 1.5 metres in length. Dawn Dives Academy based on Lanzarote say they see them from time to time.

  3. Saw baby angel shark on Saturday 12 September in sandy area just east of Playa Chica, Puerto del Carmen on Lanzarote. Infant was about 40 cm. Have short video if interested. Can triangulate depth and temperature from dive computer if useful to you.

  4. Saw an angel shark today off flamingo wall in Lanzarote. Looked very healthy. About 5 to 6 feet long and very relaxed.

  5. I saw a 2.5m long angel shark in playa Chica bay, Lanzarote at 11:00 on Monday 28th November 2016. This animal was not tagged.

  6. I saw a female angel shark on a stretch of sand amongst the right hand reef rocks in Playa Chica bay, Lanzarote at 18:50 on Sunday 27th November 2016. This animal was not tagged.

  7. I saw 2 angel sharks on the sand at a depth of 18m on a dive site called Richies Place, Lanzarote at 15:30, 28th November 2016. Neither animals were tagged.
